Model Description

The EDGAR 3.2 database provides global annual emissions per country and on a 1x1 degree grid for 1990 and 1995 for direct greenhouse gases CO₂, CH₄, N₂O and HFCs, PFCs and SF₆ and the precursor gases CO, NO_x, NMVOC and SO₂. Similar inventories were compiled for acidifying gases, NH₃, NO_x and SO₂ and Ozone Depleting Gases (EDGAR 2.0).

For the direct greenhouse gases also 1970-1995 trends in regional emissions and 1970-1995 global total trends per source category are provided as well as the gridded emissions in 1970, 1975, 1980 and 1985.

A new dataset "EDGAR 3.2 Fast Track 2000" with global emissions in 2000 of greenhouse gases and air pollutants is now also available at the EDGAR website:  32FT2000 . This dataset is based on the EDGAR 3.2 estimates for 1995 and prepared by trend analyses at country level for each standard source category of EDGAR 3.2.
