The research on emission inventories would not have been possible without the funding and co-operation of many individuals and organisations. Besides the funding by the Netherlands' National Research Programme on Global Air Pollution and Climate Change (NOP), we would like to mention the Netherlands' Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VROM) for funding. Much of the work is also part of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP) and its subprogrammes like the International Global Atmospheric Chemistry Programme (IGAC) and in particular the Study Groups of its Global Emission Inventory Activity (GEIA). The EDGAR project is part of ACCENT, a Network of Excellence funded by the EC, 6th Framework Programme (FP6), Priority 1.1.6.3 Global Change and Ecosystems. The EDGAR datasets are also available in cooperation with GEIA (Global Emissions Inventory Activity), a part of the AIMES (Analysis, Integration and Modeling of the Earth. The funding by the 5th Framwork Programme of the EU (FP5) though the POET project (Precursors of ozone and their effects in the throposphere), project no. EVK2-CT-1999-00011, is also greatly acknowledged. |
