Emission Database for Global Atmospheric Research (EDGAR)

Welcome to the EDGAR Website. The EDGAR information system is a joint project of the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC-IES, Ispra, Italy) and the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) and stores global emission inventories of greenhouse gases and air pollutants from anthropogenic sources including halocarbons and aerosols both on a per country and region basis as well as on a grid.

    New EDGAR datasets available at the Joint Research Centre (JRC)

    This is an archive site with information and data from the previous versions of EDGAR.

    A new comprehensive dataset EDGAR v4.0 for greenhouse gases and air pollutants is now being released at the new website. Please check out the new datasets, which now run through 2005 and also for air pollutants start in 1970.
